The short version

BoomMarkDown collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no network access. Your files and preferences stay entirely on your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. BoomMarkDown does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

The app has no network access and makes no outbound connections of any kind.

Your files

BoomMarkDown is a document-based Mac app. It reads and writes only the .md and .markdown files you explicitly open or save via standard macOS open and save dialogs.

The app operates within the macOS App Sandbox. It cannot access files outside of locations you grant access to.

Third-party services

BoomMarkDown uses no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or tracking frameworks of any kind.

Data stored on your device

The following preferences are stored locally in macOS UserDefaults and are never transmitted:

Appearance preference (dark mode) Onboarding shown flag

You can clear this data at any time by deleting the app.

Children’s privacy

BoomMarkDown does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. We will not make material changes without updating that date.
